Phil Lesh and Friends

I was told in the initial art brief that I have carte blanche to make use of all Grateful Dead iconography and themes! If nothing else it was a great chance to thumb through my Grateful Dead illustrated history book again. The shows happened near Halloween and I conjured up this magical forest vibe where the bears celebrated the occasion by dancing around the campfire. These Phil Lesh shows feature many ‘friends’ and curious viewers will find a number of representations of those friends hidden deep within the mushroom forest.
